On December 27, 2023, the Director-General of the Revenue Department Announcement regarding income tax has been issued. Regarding requiring electronic platforms to create 'special accounts'

'Special account' or account that shows income information from entrepreneurs Online merchants who sell products or services on the platform

The condition is that the electronic platform registered in Thailand and have or have had income in an accounting period exceeding 1,000 million baht, must make a special account.

It must be sent to the Revenue Department within 150 days from the last day of the accounting period. and is effective with data for the accounting period from 1 January 2024 onwards.

For platforms providing services in Thailand include e-Commerce businesses, food and product delivery services such as Shopee, Lazada, Line Man, Grab, Tiktok, etc.
