PM tests negative after virus exposure

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has tested negative for Covid-19 after he was photographed with an infected business leader at the opening of the Sandbox scheme in Phuket on July 1, according to results from a test taken on Friday.

However, according to protocol, Gen Prayut has gone into self-quarantine for 14 days after Veerasak Pisanuwong, chairman of Surin Chamber of Commerce, who Gen Prayut was seen posing for pictures with at the event, tested positive on his return to Surin.
