My family and I live in Phuket. We’d like to book flights to Chiang Mai during the October school holidays but I would like to know if there are any good festivals or events going on, or other dates of interest between 29 Sept and 15 Oct.
Kids are 13 and 12. We’re into just about anything outdoors. We’re also into cultural exploration as long as it genuine and not an excuse to sell products. We’d be open to travelling to neighboring provinces if it’s worth it. Also not opposed to renting a car and going on a long drive to see something special.
I’ve visited Chiang Mai a few times between 2004-18 but never with my wife and kids. If anyone has recommendations for lesser-known things to do with the fam, I’m happy to hear them.
