I’m in the process of working with brokers to get an expat health insurance policy in Thailand. They are saying in the event of a motorbike accident, even if I’m in the right and have a licence, wear a helmet, simply having THC in my system will void me of insurance because it means that “I’m intoxicated”.
I find this difficult to accept, seeing as it can be in your system for up to 6 weeks after smoking it and Thailand has also decriminalised it and removed it from the narcotics list.
Do they actually test your body for this in the event of an accident?
