Artist explores emotional responses to colour

Art lovers are invited to discover the relationship between colour and perception during “Chroma”, which kicks off today and runs until May 28, at 333Gallery.

On display are a new series of oil paintings in black and white, bright red and pastel by Amnaj Wachirasut who explores the colour palette in all its diversity and qualities.

When he works with colours, it is as if he orchestrated it. He simultaneously manages the colours as they appear on the surface. It is an ongoing process of consideration and adjustment using his personal sense to guide each colour combination.
