I am hoping to get itinerary suggestions from you all!
This will be a redo of our honeymoon (my dad passed of cancer) and I want to make it an unforgettable vacation. We don’t take much vacation, so we want to go all out on this one and enjoy ourselves.
Any advice or suggestion is much appreciated!
Here are the details…..
Traveling couple mid 40-30 – no kids
At least 17 days in Thailand Feb 2024
Prefer destinations that are beachy/sunny/relaxing – thinking of skipping Bangkok
Maybe hit Phuket and Krabi and other beachy locations
We enjoy sun bathing, drinking by the beach, snorkeling, boat tours, venturing on our own, dining out, massages, local cuisines, exploring, husband does smoke cannabis (he gets awful anxiety).
Mix of airbnb and hotels? – I do prefer airbnbs bc you have a kitchen/fridge over hotels sometimes.
Budget is moderate generous? maybe no more than $700-$800 USD a day on accommodation and food/drinks??
Husband gets anxious with large crowds, so hopefully small private tours are available
Now here is the kicker, we scored first class tickets to Hanoi instead of Thailand. Used Amex points and couldn’t pass such an amazing deal. So even though we are arriving to Hanoi, we are planning to fly to Thailand right after arrival or next day (depends on what you suggest). But we’re not sure where in Thailand to fly into until we figure out our itinerary. We are flying from Chicago to Paris, and then from Paris to Hanoi (round trip). Overall, we get to Hanoi on Feb 13 (am) and don’t have to be back to Hanoi until March 1 (evening). I can still even change the dates and add more days.
Anyway, would love to get any itinerary suggestions or any advice/recommendations.
