Travel recommendations

Going to phuket in the last week of april. Wanted recommendations on where to stay. Patong or kata or karon are the three we have shortlisted. Want to live in a lively neighbourhood with easy access to bars and restaurants. Dont fancy bangla road but rooftops bars and beach clubs we like.
Also any hotel recommendations for the same (on the beach preferably ). Dont want to live on a hilly side and seems most good properties are located like that.
