Is it safe to travel in Phuket, Surat Thani, Krabi solo for a young(ish) woman?

My best friend and I had organised a trip to Phuket, Surat Thani, and Krabi for late March but she has pulled out after I’ve booked flight tickets, accommodation, etc. I have never been to Thailand before and I love everything that I have heard and seen of the place. I’m a scuba diver as well, so I was looking forward to doing some amazing scuba diving. But I’m now wondering if I should still go ahead without her.

I have solo traveled a few places but I have not been to many Asian countries alone. So I’m wondering if it’s safe to travel alone (29F but I look much much younger than I actually am). Also wondering if there are many other solo travelers that I could potentially tee up with, get to know, and have a lovely time.
