Thailand U23 team coach Salvador Garcia praised his players for rallying to a 3-1 victory over Singapore in their first AFF U23 Championship Group C game in Phnom Penh, but warned that the War Elephants need to get better.
Teerasak Poeiphimai cancelled out a 16th-minute goal by Singapore’s Ilhan Fandi late in the first half before Niphitphon Wongpanyathe and Teerasak struck after the break to seal the win for Thailand.
Garcia said the Thais did well to overcome a jittery start.
