Thailand’s Move Forward shifts focus from royal reform to military

BANGKOK — Thailand’s main opposition Move Forward Party is hoping to avoid dissolution by pivoting from its signature policy of amending the country’s lese-majeste law to focus on military reform.

Move Forward had removed the revision of lese-majeste, which penalizes insulting the king or other senior royals, from the list of major policies on its official website as of Tuesday.
