THAILAND’s King Vajiralongkorn’s exploits in Bavaria are not without entertainment value. Using the excuse of quarantining himself from the coronavirus pandemic, he took off on his private jet with an entourage of some 100, including a harem of 20 beautiful women, to the Bavarian Alps, nesting in a luxury hotel amid a postcard panorama of snow-capped green mountains and clear blue lakes. He and a lady companion would emerge from their hotel on bicycles wearing cut tops with tattoos covering the exposed parts of their bodies. Their attire drew some criticism, but, come on, should they be cycling in royal garments? What we instead found remarkable was that the couple looked like two teenagers at play.
