Thai PM Srettha Thavisin Interview: Tesla, US Investments, Vietnam

Thailand’s new premier gave a blunt assessment of his nation’s need to catch up to regional peers following years of military-backed rule and political uncertainty in Southeast Asia’s second-largest economy.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said Thailand is “falling behind Vietnam” when it comes to free trade agreements and that the previous government — many of whose members supported his coalition — should have been out talking more to potential partners “to bring in more investment.”
