T1 sides face stern tests in ACL play-offs

Buriram’s Supachai Chaided.

Thai clubs Buriram United and Port face tough assignments in the AFC Champions League play-offs in South Korea today.

Thai League 1 leaders Buriram take on Daegu while Port meet two-time ACL winners Ulsan Hyundai.

In today’s other East zone play-off game, Japan’s Vissel Kobe host Australia’s Melbourne Victory.

The winners in the one-off matches will make the group stage of the continental club championship.

Buriram will have extra motivation as the winners of their match against Daegu will be in Group F.

The group’s matches will be played at Buriram’s Chang Arena with the other three teams being China’s Shandong, Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds and Singapore’s Lion City Sailors.
