New Covid cases dip below 20,000 Tuesday, 70 deaths

The country registered 70 more Covid-19 fatalities and 19,742 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Tuesday morning – the fourth consecutive day of lighter new caseloads.

This compared with the 69 coronavirus-related fatalities and 22,130 new cases reported on Monday morning.

Tuesday’s figures did not include 13,008 positive results from antigen tests recorded over the past 24 hours, which would raise the total to 32,750.

The 70 new fatalities were between the ages of 33 and 98 years old.

Bangkok had 13 new deaths while there were 12 in adjacent provinces – in Pathum Thani (4), Samut Prakan (3), Samut Sakhon (3) and Nakhon Pathom (2).
