Sepo tells NHA to speed up rent scheme

Pantip: Project gets OK

The State Enterprise Policy Office (Sepo) has urged the National House Authority (NHA) to speed up the development of a rental housing scheme for low-income earners.

Pantip Sripimol, director-general of Sepo, said a meeting of the State Enterprise Policy Commission, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, has approved in principle the “Ban Kheha Sukpracha” housing project.

Under the five-year scheme, 100,000 units will be developed for low-income earners in the kingdom, with an aim to provide 20,000 housing units per year.

Ms Pantip said the NHA has been asked to consider implementing a public-private partnership (PPP) investment model to help fast-track the project, noting that the Social Development and Human Security Ministry is expected to come up with more details in the…
