I lived in Thailand from July 2021 until October 2022 on COVID extensions and then transitioned to an education visa. I then lived there on an education visa until July 2023. In total, I lived there for two years.
However, despite having all the proper paper work/reentry permit, my education visa renewal was denied on July 17th this year after spending one month in Israel taking care of my dad after he suffered a heart attack and stroke. I still had 6 months left on my education visa but couldn’t use it.
Either way, I don’t have an overstay on my record and would like to just spend a few weeks in TH before travellng to PH. With that said, I do have a bunch of TH entry/exit stamps on my US passport.
So, can I return to Thailand as a tourist for just a few weeks after living there on an education visa recently?
