Ratchanok Intanon and mixed doubles stars Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai advanced to the last 16 of the US$360,000 Malaysia Masters at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
Ratchanok, who won her first title in two years on Sunday at the Malaysia Open, defeated Thai compatriot Busanan Ongbamrungphan 21-12, 21-13 to progress to the last 16 round of the World Tour Super 500 event.
The Thai eighth seed will face Fitriani Fitriani of Indonesia in the last 16 on Thursday.
Mixed doubles top seeds Dechapol and Sapsiree proved too strong for Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Lisa Ayu Kusumawati of Indonesia as the top-seeded pair won the match 21-11, 21-16.
They will play Robin Tabeling and Selena Piek of the Netherlands in the last 16.
