PTT Plc to turn Laem Chabang into Thailand’s first green port

PTT Plc, the Thai state-owned oil and gas company, is set to transform Laem Chabang deep-sea port into a pioneering example of green ports across Thailand. Noppadon Pinsupa, the Chief Operating Officer of PTT’s Downstream Petroleum Business Group, revealed plans yesterday for the development of the GPC International Terminal. The terminal, the victor in the bid for the third phase of the deep-sea port’s development, is projected to receive the land from the Port Authority of Thailand for development in 2025.

The Port Authority of Thailand is currently reclaiming the necessary land for the port’s construction. PTT, via its subsidiary PTT Tank Terminal Co, is part of the consortium developing the port, alongside Chec Oversea Infrastructure Holding Pte, Ltd, Noppadon said.
