Tero Entertainment, Fairtex boxing gym and Channel 7HD are organising the Fairtex Fight, Extreme Boxing.
The Muay Thai programme is shown live on Channel 7HD (35) every Saturday from 10am to noon.
The event is aimed at promoting the country’s traditional martial art at the global level with exciting light and sound systems.
Each programme has five to seven bouts of Thais v Thais, foreigners v foreigners and Thais v foreigners.
The show, which began last weekend, also features women’s fights as well as MMA bouts.
“It is the first MMA event in Thailand which is organised by Thais,” organisers said.
Fighters in Muay Thai bouts will wear normal eight to 10oz gloves while those in “extreme” bouts will use smaller or MMA gloves.
