Deputy minister made son-in-law mayor resign after arrest

Deputy Interior Minister Chada Thaised ordered his son-in-law to resign from his position as municipal mayor following his arrest for alleged extortion in Uthai Thani province on Tuesday.

Mr Chada said on Wednesday that his son-in-law Weerachart Rasamee phoned him and apologised on Tuesday night after being released on bail.
