Prayad goes top in senior money list

Thailand’s Prayad Marksaeng won his 17th title on the Japan Senior Golf Tour with a five-shot victory at the PGA Senior Championship on Sunday.

The 56-year-old from Hua Hin fired a final-round 67 to win on 13-under 275 at the par-72 Summit Golf Club in Ibaraki.

Japan’s Katsumasa Miyamoto (70) was second, five shots behind the Thai.

Thaworn Wiratchant, another Thai, was 18th on one-over 289.

It was the second major win for Prayad this year after he triumphed at the Japan Senior Open Golf Championship last month.

Prayad took home 10 million yen (approx 2.6 million baht) for his 17th win on Japan’s over-50 circuit.

With the victory, Prayad moved up to the top of the money list…
