Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon said on Wednesday he had nothing to do with a gold pendant bearing his picture which Sira Jenjaka, a Bangkok MP of the ruling Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) showed reporters at parliament.
“I don’t know about the matter and I have never suggested he produce such a pendant and nor has Mr Sira consulted me on it.
“And I don’t agree with it. Don’t drag me into this. I must come out to say because it’s big news. I don’t support it.”
A source said Mr Sira apologised to Gen Prawit, who warned him to be more careful.
