Peter Rabbit returns for a good cause

The disobedient Peter Rabbit and his well-behaved sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail debuted in Beatrix Potter’s picture letter dated Sept 4, 1893.

It evolved into a classic children’s book, The Tale Of Peter Rabbit, which was commercially published by Frederick Warne & Co in 1902.

The origin of the anthropomorphic characters was actually associated with the sick.

Potter sent the illustrated letter to cheer up Annie Moore’s son named Noel, who was recovering from scarlet fever.
