Nurturing tech workforce for Thailand’s digital success

A glimpse at Thailand’s digital economy landscape

With more business activities emerging in Thailand, the International Monetary Fund predicts that Thailand’s GDP will grow by 3.4% this year. However, this future outcome can only happen if local companies reinvent themselves for the digital-first economy.

At “The Direction of the Thai Digital Industry: Moving Forward with DEPA” seminar, Mr. Pathom Indarodom – a member of the Digital Council Committee – brought up the disparity between infrastructure and workforce readiness. 

Most of Thai software companies are still small businesses with fewer than 10 employees, and they often end up hiring Vietnamese staff to support digitalization.
