National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) signed a business cooperation agreement with China Mobile International Limited (CMI) to jointly enhance Thailand’s international infrastructure capability to serve global contents.
This cooperation between NT and CMI, which has a long standing reputation in providing information services around the world, is a major milestone to improve and enhance information infrastructure in Thailand. Both parties will study and research information on data connectivity demand and potential investment of global players to uplift the information service landscape in Thailand as well as Southeast Asia.
Presently, Thailand is a popular destination for Chinese tourists and foreign visitors while Thai people also show high interest in Chinese content and applications. As this cooperation leveraged on NT’s high-speed and high-quality infrastructure, it would strengthen business sectors, entertainment-service industry and individual users in Thailand as part of NT’s core missions to utilise telecommunications infrastructure and empower digital communication of the nation, connecting everyone, accelerating digital economy and serving the government’s plan to bring Thailand to be a digital hub.
