Klity Creek lead cleanup stumbles

BEAUTIFUL BUT DEADLY: Lower Klity village in the deep forest of Kanchanaburi province is located by Klity Creek, an illegal dumping ground for toxic lead sediment discharged from lead processing plants upstream for several decades and, INSET: Chalalai Nasuansuwan, 32, a villager and founder of local civic group ‘Lower Klity Dee Jang’.

Pollution in Klity Creek in the deep forest of Kanchanaburi province has been a health and environmental threat for villagers who relied for water consumption for decades.
