MAYA Mall , haven’t been in 6 year.

Last time I was in Chiang Mai, I consistently went to Maya mall to eat at the local food stands inside. Like mom and pop kiosks with a small table bordering with stools. I’m here now , and I can’t seem to find them anymore. They used to fill the food floor, surrounded by the bigger franchises. Now the floor has modern, franchise kiosks, like Pepper Lunch. I’m assuming the locals lost business over COVID or maybe the mall is just “upgrading” all the establishments. I was just wondering if anyone had some insight as it’s been tough to communicate with locals. Cheers
