The War Elephants, who are coached by Brazilian-German tactician Mano Polking, were recently drawn in a tough Group C with South Korea, China and the winners of the play-off between Singapore or Guam for the World Cup qualifying tournament.

Thailand will be hosting the prestigious four-team King’s Cup in Chiang Mai during the FIFA Day break between Sept 4-12, reports the Bangkok Post.

The participating teams in the Chiang Mai tournament are Iraq, India, Lebanon and hosts Thailand.

The draw for the tournament will be announced later.

A month later, the War Elephants will be in Tbilisi to face hosts Georgia for a friendly on Oct 12 before taking on Estonia in Tallinn five days later.

Before the end of 2023, Thailand will host China at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium on Nov 16 in the World Cup qualifiers.

They will next take on Singapore or Guam on Nov 21 away.

These games will be followed by the 2024 AFC Asian Cup in Doha from Jan 12 to Feb 10.
