‘Heartbroken’ Bangkok bar supports Ukraine with the power of beer

Drinking for a cause is now possible at an Ekkamai beer bar which said it will donate beer sale revenues to support Ukraine. 

Since Saturday, Mikkeller Bangkok has been donating 100% of its beer sales from three taps to the Ukrainian embassy in Bangkok. 

“We cannot stand by and do nothing,” said Jakob Rasmussen, its Danish owner. “We have friends in the brewing world who are deeply impacted by the situation, and it’s heartbreaking to hear their stories.”

The three taps are Sukhumvit Pale Ale (400ml), Bean Geek Session Porter (400ml) and Algorithm Maple (200ml) and they can be easily spotted with blue-and-yellow tap handles, from No. 28 to No. 30. They sell for THB500.
