How dangerous is it really? I have a decent bit of experience at home and once on Koh Phangan, but what is it like here? Is the road a straight up highway and do I have to drive back too? Also, how do I take my backpack? Question..
Update: did the scooter ride on a 150cc Click yesterday. Had a blast! I didn’t feel in danger at all, other Thai drivers were kind and always passed with decent distance between.
I do get why the road can be dangerous now.. some westerners drive like idiots. I was doing 60 through some very bendy bits and a westerner drove past me doing 80.. after it has just rained and with his gf on the back. Mind boggling.
