Forging ahead in Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia boasts one of the world’s most diverse economies, spanning across 4.5 million square kilometres with a population of 675 million people. In 2022, its total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amounted to US$ 900 billion and currently it is the 7th largest economy globally. By 2050, Southeast Asia is projected to climb to the 4th spot. Consequently, the region is prioritising infrastructure development, with the Master Plan of ASEAN Connectivity 2025 highlighting sustainable infrastructure, cross-border connectivity, and mobilisation of private capital as key areas of focus.
