FA Cup serves up some intriguing clubs

While the focus of English football will be on the Premier League this weekend, there will be plenty of drama at the smaller grounds around the country as little-known teams from the lower divisions do battle in the first round of the FA Cup.

The “big boys” don’t join the Cup until the third round, but that doesn’t mean there will be any lack of excitement, entertainment or passion in stadiums many people have never heard of.

Perhaps the most intriguing matches feature the two lowest-ranked teams, Cray Valley Paper Mills and Sheppey United who both play in the eighth tier of English football in the Isthmian League’s South East Division.
