Crave more cave? In case movies and series not enough, a billion-baht virtual cave attraction is coming to Chiang Rai.

From the Does Anyone Really Need This Department comes word that someone plans to spend THB1 billion (US$28 million) on some kind of immersive cave rescue tourist attraction.

Creative agency Index Creative Village announced that it will build a virtual “world-class tourist attraction” where visitors can relive that one time the Wild Boars football team had to be rescued from the Luang cave in 2018.

Given the galaxy marketing brain name of “The Caventure,” the simulation will open outside the actual cave in northern Chiang Rai province and allow visitors to re-enact all 17 harrowing days of their ordeal.

In case you had doubts, it says the attraction will be “suitable for people of all genders, ages, and lifestyles” and help boost Chiang Rai tourism.
