Commerce Ministry plans to elevate Thailand’s soft power promotion to create 20 million jobs

Ministry of Commerce aims to promote 11 “soft power” sectors, creating jobs and income, with international trade exhibitions and promotions.


The Ambitious Plan of the Ministry of Commerce

The Ministry of Commerce has set ambitious goals to promote and market eleven “soft power” sectors, aiming to create 20 million jobs for Thais and approximately 4 trillion baht in annual income. Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai made this announcement at a soft power forum.

The Eleven Soft Power Sectors

The sectors targeted for promotion include tourism, festivals, sports, food, movies, music, arts, books, games, fashion, and designs.

Promoting Thai Soft Power Internationally
