Buriram kept waiting, Fandi fires four in Rabbits’ victory

Leaders Buriram United once again failed to wrap up the Thai League 1 title, this time letting a 10-man Chiang Rai United side rally to pull off a 1-1 tie on Wednesday night.

The Thunder Castle’s performance at their home ground left Buriram coach Masatada Ishii disappointed.

“I don’t know how the players feel but since I became the coach, I wanted to win the title,” said the Japanese coach.

“However, we have to forget about this game and look forward to the next match.”

Ishii added that “it’s a pity we could only pick up a point and could not celebrate the title in our home ground.
