Injured Motorcyclist Found Alive After Hours of Peril in Sattahip

Sattahip —

A Burmese motorcyclist was miraculously rescued after getting into an accident and being unseen for several hours.

The victim, whose name was not immediately revealed, was saved by a local rescue team in the Na Jomtien area of Sattahip district, Chonburi province, Saturday afternoon, after he had gotten into a motorbike accident.

The young man, who was reported to be a Burmese construction worker, was found around 12:30 PM on November 18th. A Good Samaritan, who requested privacy regarding his name, said he found the victim laying amidst dense foliage beside the road after stumbling upon his black/red Honda Wave motorbike fallen nearby.

The victim suffered many serious injuries, including a contorted leg, facial swelling, and bruises. Blood oozing from his facial wounds had already begun to dry when the Good Samaritan found him. Sattahip police, responding to the incident, determined that the victim may have veered off the road after crashing into a nearby concrete barrier, then plummeted into thick undergrowth.

Police suspected that the victim may have been lying there for hours before being found. Miraculously, he was still alive and is expected to recover.
