Defending champion Ariya Jutanugarn and Patty Tavatanakit will lead the local challenge at the US$1.6 million Honda LPGA Thailand, organisers said yesterday.
The 15th edition of the event will again be held at Siam Country Club in Pattaya from March 10-13.
The tournament features 70 players, including major winners Ariya, Patty, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, Danille Kang, Yuka Saso, Minjee Lee and Ko Jin-Young.
Amy Yang, meanwhile, will try to win her fourth LPGA Thailand crown.
Two-time major winner Ariya won the 2021 Honda LPGA Thailand to become the country’s first champion of the tournament.
“Winning the Honda LPGA Thailand 2021 was one of my greatest achievements because it was in my home country,” 12-time LPGA winner Ariya told a press conference.
“I look forward to once again giving my all at the Honda LPGA Thailand 2022.”
