Any way to mute AC sound in BKK buildings?

I just moved into a new unit, with central AC in all the rooms.

Unfortunately the vents are crazy loud compared to regular wall-mounted AC units and it’s very hard to have work calls/sleep.

Trying to do calls/sleep with the AC off but I’m drenched in sweat by the time those are done.

Anyone have advice on how to mute the sound?
