My wife who is a Hong Kong citizen is applying to get her work visa to work for a school in Thailand. We filed her application and are now waiting for a response from the Thai consulate in Hong Kong. However we are waiting for the Thai consulate to write her a letter so she can get her CNCC from the Hong Kong Police department.
Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Should we just wait for the Thai consulate to contact us? Or should she go there in person and ask for it?
I’m asking because the Hong Kong Police department said they will take up to 4 weeks to process her request for the CNCC and we’re supposed to be moving to Thailand in July so she can start her job.
