Chiang Mai has ranked 34th in the world where expats want to live and work remotely, according to the Work-from-Anywhere Index.
The study was conducted by Netspick, a search engine for furnished rental apartments and rooms worldwide. It compared 75 cities by analysing 16 factors such as costs and infrastructure, legislation and freedoms, and liveability. The report also took the percentage of people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 into account.
Melbourne topped the list, followed by Dubai, Sydney, Tallinn, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Glasgow, Montreal and Berlin.
