5 new Covid infections in one family in Ratchaburi

RATCHABURI: Five new Covid-19 infections, all from the same family, have been registered in this lower Central province, governor Ronnapop Luangpairote announced on Saturday.

The five new cases raised the number of infections in the province to 16.

All five of them were from the same family as a previously reported case, a woman who worked in a factory in Samut Sakhon province, where a new wave of the Covid-19 pandemic started.

They were her mother-in-law, 63, father-in-law, 69, husband, 42, and two sons, 12 and 17.

Ratchaburi is one of the 28 provinces designated by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) as “maximum control zones”.
