23,441 new Covid cases, 88 more deaths

The country registered 88 more Covid-19 fatalities, a new high in the latest wave, and 23,441 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Monday morning.

This compared with the 84 coronavirus-related fatalities and 24,996 new cases reported on Sunday morning.

There were 23,403 local cases and 38 imported ones.

On Sunday, 23,153 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 240,339 others were receiving treatment (up from 240,139 on the previous day).
