Hi there, so I recently received a job offer as a Product Designer (mid-level) at Agoda and am thinking whether I should accept it and relocate to BKK. The salary is 130,000 THB / month, plus benefits like health insurance, 2% pension contribution, 15% annual bonus and 260,000 THB one-time sign-on bonus.
Some background about myself, I have around 3 years of experience working in the field and I previously worked at two major companies in the UK, one of them being TikTok. At my last company in London, UK I was making £58,000 / year, which is much more than the salary Agoda is offering. When discussing the offer, they said that this is the maximum they can offer me for the level they found me at, which is mid-level. However, I am confident that I am close to becoming senior level, which is why I expected more money…
That said, anyone has experience with Agoda salaries and living in BKK, to let me know whether this is a good offer for my experience? For some context, I have no kids and don’t like to party and stuff (but I do like to visit nice cafes / restaurants now and again), I also like to travel so if I moved to Thailand I would like to take trips around the country as well as East Asia quite often. Any advice is appreciated! 🙏
