XERXIA Wins VCL 2023 Thailand Split 2, Qualifies for VCT Ascension Pacific

Most of the Valorant Challengers League events taking place in the Asia-Pacific region concluded on 4th June including the VCL 2023 Thailand Split 2 which was won by XERXIA, who will now go on to represent the region in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 Ascension Pacific.

The best-of-five grand finals took place between XERXIA and FULL SENSE, the latter kicking off the series with a win but then facing three consecutive defeats to bow out of the tournament with a 3-1 scoreline.

XERXIA has been crowned as the champion of VCL 2023 Thailand Split 2

It was a dream run for FULL SENSE to reach the grand final of the Valorant Champions League (VCL) 2023 Thailand Split 2 after barely managing to qualify for the playoffs. During the regular season, the team had managed to win only four out of its seven matches, outperforming Attack All Around who also had a 4-3 scoreline on the basis of map difference.

However, once it guaranteed a slot for itself in the playoffs, FULL SENSE shifted gears and raced away to the grand final on the back of consecutive 2-0 wins against Made in Thailand and XERXIA.

What makes this run even more impressive is the fact that FULL SENSE had placed fourth in the VCL 2023 Thailand Split 1, turning things around for itself big time.

But when it comes to improvement and putting in the hours to actually find success, XERXIA is the only name that comes to mind. During the previous event, it had finished the regular season with a 3-4 scoreline, grabbing the last direct slot for the current split.

Having missed out on the playoffs last time, XERXIA finished the current regular season with a 4-3 scoreline and despite facing setbacks in the next stage, the team managed to reach the grand final where it handed Full Sense a comfortable 3-1 defeat.

  • Haven | 13-10 | FULL SENSE wins map pick

  • Split | 15-13 | XERXIA wins map pick

  • Ascent | 13-11 | FULL SENSE loses map pick

  • Bind | 13-8 | XERXIA wins map pick

  • Fracture | Match does not reach decider map

XERXIA will now be seen representing Thailand at the VCT 2023 Ascension Pacific, which is the final step to qualify for the VCT 2024/2025 Pacific League. It will be their toughest challenge yet with top teams from every region delivering their absolute best to grab the one available spot to make it into the international circuit.
