A construction worker from Myanmar died and five other workers were injured after a concrete floor on the 27th storey of the condo building in Bang Sue district where they were working collapsed, police said yesterday.

The incident took place early yesterday, International Workers’ Day.
The scaffolding which supported the 27th floor gave in, sending the five workers down to the 26th floor, police said, adding the sixth victim died as he fell all the way to the ground floor.
About 50 workers were levelling the wet cement floor when it caved in, but most of them were working on the side which didn’t collapse, police said.
Authorities in Bang Sue district are probing the incident.
