Will I be able to do any decent hiking in Chiang Mai in early May?

I’ve been looking for some decent hikes to do in Chiang Mai (Wat Pha Lat Hike, Doi Inthanon, Kew Mae Pan, Pha Dok Sieo) but I’ve read that a lot of them are closed during this season for the farmer’s burning crops. I’ve also heard that the heat can be brutal if you’re not used to it.

I already plan to prepare myself for intense heat, but is it even still possible to do some of these hikes despite the burnings and the heat? If not, are there any decent alternative’s?

Any and all advice is much appreciated!!
