Why do maps even exist in Thailand?

Every country struggles with something. After 10 years, I can safely generalize that many Thais have no idea how to read a map.

nope, I sent the location again. nope, nope, nope, nope………and this girl still goes to the wrong place until she is forced to walk to a place she knows.

Nice girl, she did admit, “Sorry, I don’t understand maps.”

Of course, when a Thai tells me the store is “Thi nooon or Thi nan…. ” then I wonder why I don’t get more information.

N,S,E,W…… tried teaching these concepts for years. 10% gets it, 50% maybe, and the other 99.99% has no idea (yes, I was a Math or Maths teacher u kan tank meee laeter.”)\*\*&\*&

I would like to say Thais struggle with directions, but that might be only in English; therefore, I’ll let the comments deal with that one. I wasn’t giving directions. Just…. look…..at…..the ……. picture….on…..your…… phone……. YES, there was even some obvious natural landmarks as well as other really obvious (to me) stuff.
