Where to meet in BKK airport before security?

Hi, I have studied maps of the BKK airport and Google searched this, but I can’t find an answer. I will already be in Bangkok, and my boyfriend will be flying in from the USA to meet me a day later and we are trying to figure out a place to meet if we can’t connect to wifi and message each other, a meeting place if anything goes wrong. It’s his first time to Thailand so he’s nervous. Will we be able to connect to the airport wifi? What restaurants are easy to find that are before security so that I can wait there for him to find the restaurant?
I’ve read about the Magic Food Court.
