Where should I stay?

My wife and I have been in old city for a week and are going to stay in Nimman for a couple nights tomorrow. We have 4 nights left at the end of our trip and no hotel booked yet cuz we don’t really know where we want to stay.

I figured I’d come here and ask all you lovely people for some recommendations on areas to stay. Doesn’t need to be by old city, just would like some things to do or see in a reasonable range and near some food. Not being picky just seeing what you guys think?
