Where do teachers like to live?

My school is near Huai Khwang, but after living here for a while I have determined that I actually do not like the area, it is noisy, loud and there is a lot of construction. Also, the whole street seems to just serve fish, Chinese food, squid and Durian. …. The smell is …wow. ……anyway….. I do however, like being by the metro system. I would prefer to live in On Nut, but it seems quite far from here.

Are there any other teachers with schools up north of Bangkok, where do you live? How do you commute to work? Are there any quiet, chilled out, decently priced areas near the metro line you’d reccommend? Thanks so much. (ps, also after a monthly rental if anyone knows of anything – so I can get a feel for the area before committing)
